I left flexible PLA in the printer if anyone would like to try a couple of prints. Nothing big though :P
In the bottom left hand wooden cupboard with the drone parts there's some little flexible motor mounts I printed if you wanna get a feel for it.
It printed well at 210c on the board at 55c.
Flex needs to be printed quite slowly, so I'd set the speeds on the slicer at 20mm/second or under. Otherwise it will create backpressure that causes it to loop up on itself in the upper chamber of the extruder.

So Long Winter, We Hardly Knew You

- Posted on March 2, 2016 by

Everything is coming together for Summerside Makerspace! Stay tuned for an upcoming announcement about our soft opening (1 to 2 weeks).

January was a slow start as we worked to get everything lined up legally to enter into a lease agreement for our space. The organizers are very proud to say that Summerside Makerspace, Inc. was registered as a provincial non-profit corporation on February 5th! We have acquired insurance coverage and opened our bank account too, all in the last 3 weeks. We have been busily prepping the space for members and guests by putting some donated paint and supplies to good use. Check out our work-in-progress:

Organizing Committee Meeting Minutes

- Posted on January 6, 2016 by

We met just before Christmas to make some plans. We try to have an organized meeting with motions and votes and everything. For some of you, this may be the first thing you can learn about from the Makerspace. Meetings of governments, corporations and many groups including the United Nations operate under these same rules of order. Go to a council meeting sometime and check it out!

You can read the unofficial minutes of our meeting of December 23, 2015.
